Request An Absentee Ballot

USPS recommends that you request your ballot by October 20.

If you have not requested it by October 20, you may not receive it in time to cast your vote.

Alabama voters with COVID-19 concerns can select the “I have a physical illness or infirmity which prevents my attendance at the polls” excuse to apply for an absentee ballot.

Include a copy of your valid photo ID.

If you meet the absentee requirements, you can also request and cast your ballot at your local Circuit Clerk before 5pm on November 2.

Fill Out Your Ballot

Follow directions carefully and sign where indicated.

Alabama also requires TWO witness signatures, or your ballot must be notarized.

If you are a first time voter who registered by mail or online, follow all directions carefully. You may need to include a copy of an ID with your ballot.

Return Your Ballot

Hand deliver your own completed ballot to your Absentee Election Manager as soon as possible.

If you mail your ballot, USPS recommends mailing it no later than October 27.
