Register to Vote

Check your registration here.

Deadline to register:
OCTOBER 18

You can also register at certain polling places during the grace period and on Election Day.

You can also download a form to mail or hand deliver under the “information for voters” tab here.

Election Day Registration available in person before 7pm on November 3.

Request A Mail Ballot

USPS recommends that you request your ballot by October 20.

If you have not requested it by October 20, you may not receive it in time to cast your vote.

All voters registered in Illinois should automatically receive a ballot request form in the mail.

Return Your Ballot

Hand deliver your completed ballot to your county election authority or a county drop box as soon as possible.

If you mail your ballot, USPS recommends doing so no later than October 27.

Check with your county clerk for information on postage.

If you are a first time voter who registered by mail or online, follow all directions carefully. You may need to include a copy of an ID with your ballot.
