Request An Absentee Ballot
USPS recommends that you request your ballot by October 20.
If you have not requested it by October 20, you may not receive it in time to cast your vote.

TENNESSEE DOES NOT CONSIDER FEAR OF COVID-19 A VALID ABSENTEE EXCUSE.
You must fall under one of these categories to vote absentee by-mail in Tennessee.
You may, however, apply for absentee by-mail if you or someone you care for determines that they are suscpetible to contracting COVID-19.
A doctor’s note is not required.
RETURN YOUR BALLOT
Tennessee requires absentee ballots be returned by mail. You will need postage.
USPS recommends mailing your ballot no later than October 27.
If you are a first time voter who registered by mail or online, follow all directions carefully. You may need to include a copy of an ID with your ballot.
Vote in Person
October 14 – October 29
Remember to bring your valid photo ID.
Election Day is November 3
